Enjoy Dining indoors…
Within the heart of The Chequered Skipper is our acclaimed restaurant offering lovely views across Ashton village green.
The décor is contemporary, but at the same time maintains the character of the beautiful period building.
A Relaxed Setting
In addition to providing delicious food from our seasonal menus, we aim to make your time with us as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. We take real pride in how the restaurant is presented. Indeed, we have freshly cut flowers on each table and on the windowsills of our beautiful stone-mullioned windows, which are also lined with candles, which in the evening adds to the character and cosiness of the restaurant.
Relax & Enjoy
We aim to provide you with a relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable stay with us, and we are always looking for ways to improve our offering, so if you have any ideas on how we can enhance your experience with us please let us know.
Why not treat yourself, a family member or a friend to one of our delicious traditional afternoon teas?
Presented on a three tiered stand, our traditional afternoon teas are an experience from start to finish for you to enjoy.
The restaurant walls are adorned with framed artworks from local artists, and the displays are regularly varied, so why not come along and see if you fancy a treat for yourself or a friend, or a loved one.
You can purchase the artworks during your stay with us and then take them home with you.
Live Music
To help you enjoy your time with us, we regularly have live music playing. Whether you like keyboards, guitar of Jazz, our local performers provide first-class background music to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant.
